I bet you're using MySQL 3.23.xx something.. This is a known bug caused by MySQL 3.23's handling of decimal fields.

If you read the README file in the docs dir, you would have seen that the game is meant to work under MySQL 4. AAT v0.20 is not meant to run under MySQL 3.23.xx.

To fix your problem, upgrade to MySQL 4, then fire ALL dignitatires in the entire game. That will fix their interest rates.

Also, that dig interest problem affects Independant planets also, so they will have benefited from it and will have many millions of Ore, Goods, etc on their planets, and will have used the extra money to beef up their planets.

I had this in my game, and fixed it by doing the above steps. I then used several SQL statements to 'fix' all Indy planets to more resonable values.

That way, I didn't have to reset the game. It was fairly early in my game when I discovered this problem, and froze the game until I had it fixed.

Another fix is to change all the decimal fields to floats or doubles.
