Now that you have changed the bounty system which was long needed they are exploiting the aliments to hit lower players. I had a planet taken by a higher player who went Evil my score dropped so he was unable to take the rest of my planets. Then i took my planet back and tuned GOOD then boom SMs. Ship lost planets taken. His Score was 1.8 mil mine was 800k,

As far as the good evil thing, you attacked an evil player which will essentially move you toward good, my guess is you were edgy towards going good anyways, if you had been toward the middle attacking a single planet shouldn't have made you good.

One simple way to see where you stand if you are neutral is to sort by good or evil to see how close you are one way or the other. Watch who you are attacking so you can see what direction they will move you.

The other mistake was you hit it while he was online. If your NOT carrying energy, sector missiles cannot hurt you, it uses your excess energy against you.

While you may not think so, the good/evil alignment worked like it was supposed to. It was designed so that if a small player attacked a larger player there was a way for that player to retaliate, and it looks like he did.

While there are some adjustments I would like to see with good and evil, its working as it should, I've been talking to PJ about some ideas I have about good and evil and about when a smaller player chooses to go after a larger players planets. But its all about balance. If your going to be an attacker, you need to pick and choose how and who you attack, its all about strategy, sometimes getting your planets back may do you more harm than good.

If he was able to take your planet without a bounty the first time then you taking the planet back probably would have placed you in range for him to attack you AGAIN even if you were neutral.

the thing is i wasn't the attacker he attacked one of my planets while he was evil turning me good whne i took it back then having fun it being used by bigger players to take out smaller players

Technically you became an attacker when you took it back. The alignment is based on actions not inaction. Attacking an evil player is an inherently good act, so weather he attacked first, makes no difference as its still a good act regardless of if they initialed the first attack or not.

You have complete control on weather you go good or evil. And we watch the game closely. Usually the attacking was in response of a player attacking and going good or evil. And since your not in the game anymore how can you judge weather they are taking advantage. I watch the game very closely and if you look, there are currently more evil than good players. Usually it was the attacking players that go good and evil, in your case you were attacked and because you decided you wanted your planet back you managed to go good. In which case made you a target. Just play more carefully, and you wont have this problem, if your going to be an attacker balance your attacks. To every action there is an reaction so sometimes you have to make the decision on weather it was the right choice or not.

Believe me, if we saw it as a serious problem we would remedy it. We do have some ideas in the works but as of now there isn't a need for a change.

If it makes you feel better, Big's only blemish was caused the same way you are describing here. He was evil and took some of my planets. I took some Evil planets, pushed myself into Good, and blew him up. It's just something you have to watch out for. I do find it a little strange though, how long did you wait before taking your planet back? Didn't I read somewhere that the planet will retain it's original alignment for a day after it's been taken?

If he was leaning towards good, then unless he waited too long, the shouldn't he of moved towards the bad by attacking it? I could just be misunderstanding though.

peace,
CR

How does the good and Evil thing work now. Is it still the same as when this thread was started?
How does it effect the bounty range and the attacks?

Sorry to bump an older thread.....

The good vs Evil attack options have been eliminated. Due to it gave a large player a huge advantage and put many small players at risk, it has been eliminated. As of now it really doesnt effect or give bonuses on anything.
