Just something to post about. :P

Right now, Beethoven's String Quartet No. 1, Op. 7: Introduzione. I prefer his symphonies 9 and 8 though. 9 MUST be played in Moto Vivace - Presto, because any slower is too boring and doesn't make it as good as it can be.

Interesting. Of course, that most recent isn't too surprising coming from someone who'd rather make pizza than sense ;)

Ode an Die Freude, or Ode to Joy right now. If I actually spoke German, I may be able to enjoy it more...

Val, ya need to broaden your horizons, there is alot of good music out there. Now the choice of Genre is getting almost as wide as the music selection :)

I'm a guitar guy so my choices usually have alot of good electric guitar riffs and effects. I also tend to listen to alot of heavier Rock tracks....I'm not in to thrash metal, but good hard hitting well vocalized music, where the musicians can play and the singers have talent.

I know, I'm stuck in the past. A very nice minuet right now... I'm not sure of the name. Anyway, I listen to other stuff, just not very often. My parents should be greatful I don't listen to heavy metal like all my friends lol And because of that, I can tolerate it. I guess that adds to my horizon. Hehe, oldies from fifties and sixties. Lets see now... I can tolerate Nickleback, Disturbed, Avenged Seven Fold, Trivium, Metalica, Three Inches of Blood, System of a Down, and so forth. My mom listens to a lot of "oldies" so I'm fine with that too. And my dad likes Blue Grass XD So I get plenty of exposure. The only concert I've ever been to my entire life was a Blue Grass concert. Geez... But I get plenty of music exposure, I just like Classical/Romantic better than the other stuff. :P

I'd fallen off of the edge of the universe (note; it's not round like earth ;-) )

It comes down to work having been crazy, life having been very hectic and internet very flimsy (with a very low bandwith limit per month).
However that should all be worked out now so I'll make an effort to come back again.

*crosses fingers*

Trying to read up now on the changes.

The fans in my computer. :)

But I love the old rock n roll of the '80's and 90's (because I'm an old fart), and some of the newer stuff too, like Nickelback, t.A.T.u., and Offspring. :rocker:

I have also recently acquired a love for country music since I moved from the big city life of California to a small town in Kentucky, which is now what I listen to more than anything else. Favorites are Montgomery Gentry, Toby Keith, Rodney Atkins, Garth Brooks, Sugarland, and (with exception to his latest cd which is just awful) Tim McGraw. :boohoo:

I even like some of my youngest daughters "teen princess" music like Play, and the Backstreet Boys (all of which she has since grown out of, while I still havn't). :momaru:

And since I can almost see Valience wincing at my obviously poor taste in music let me hasten to add that I also like the most familiar piano classics such as Mozarts Turkish Rhondo and Beethovens Fur Elise.

But mostly I like lyrics and guitars. Rap just makes me wanna get my .45 and start shooting stereos. :wtf:

Marley is tolerable, I agree with Zoid's opinion of rap, and I can also tolerate most but not all country. I usually don't like Nickleback, but at times they are tolerable as well. I've never heard of Play, but I don't really like the Backstreet boys. I notice when I started this topic, I said I like the Eighth. I still do, but it's no longer a favorite. My musical tastes shift too ;) Now I more like the third and fourth movements of the Fifth, the violin concerto, and the thirteenth string quartet.

Apparently Beethoven's creativity ended at music - he wasn't that creative with his song titles, was he? :p
