I see a post back in nov saying auto trades were disabled. Some of it seems to be accessible, but no way to buy a ship to do it, so I guess that means it is still broke?

Also trade routes, may be a bug, but not sure if it works yet, so I will ask.
From a planet with extra ore to an organics port buying ore, I tried to set up a trade route, and got an error that the planet doesn't exist, but it was in the pull down list, I didn't write it in. Both in the same sector. Didn't see it in the defect list, but maybe it is still a known issue.

Trade routes are not completed yet.
Port to port and port to planet seem to be OK. The rest are still being worked on.

Because the trading is now soooo different to .21, it is taking time to sort. But once complete, thing of the trading routes that will be possible.

Yeah, it's been tough going. I am also in the process of rewriting all of the classes code for the different items in the game. I found out that some things are not going to work right with the current code.

Just today I sat down and rewrote all of the debris classes and their supporting code. Next is going to be the commodity and then devices. And all of these things interconnect with each other.

You can only purchase different ship after you have a planet with base. The traderoute that really mattered most was the colonists and upgrade port to planets route. without that the work was tedious.

actually I was talking about the auto trade route ship you used to be able to buy.
It isn't in the space port as a choice, nor is there an extra option on the planets.

That trade ship is still to come. Look at alll of the changes in the game. Planets produce different amounts of things now, Ports trade very differently than the old version.
Hence the coding requiring to make all things work takes some time.
But, once things are complete, man what a game this will be.

The new trade ships will be seen in space and open to be attacked. They will be seen in the sector that they leave from and the sector that they trade to.
The possibilties of trade will be far more than what we have had in the past.

Keep playing the game and learn about the new parts as they are completed and introduced into the game.
