Hello,

Can someone assit me with this error. I just installed the game on my server.

games.worldonreport.com/maxed2

When I try to clean spies off my ship, view what a spy see's, otr clean spies off planet I get this error:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /maxed2/spy.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apache/1.3.37 Server at games.worldonreport.com Port 80

Since the installer is supposed to set the access settings for me what else would cause this?

Thanks for the assistance.

My first question is how did you install the game. Did you upload the aatrade_package and install_aatrade_package.php and then run the latter? Or did you unpack the aatrade_package and upload the files individually?

I ask because it sounds like the file that was trying to be accessed isn't on the server. If you used the package installer it will display an error message at the bottom of the page if there was an error during installation. I know some people tend to ignore what the installer prints and just goes on to the next stage. Check to make sure the file is actually on the server.

I am sorry that it has taken me so long to get back on this. I used the install module to install the game. The file is there. It has it's permissions are set to: 0644

That is the setting that all the files are set too.

I bet your hosting company is doing something really stupid. I bet they are checking for specific words in filenames and then preventing any file with those names from executing. Your hosting company probably sees "spy" in the spy.php name and they are preventing it from running because they think some hacker is going to be STUPID enough to name a hacking program spy.php. I bet if you renamed it to something else like myprogram.php and then tried to run it the program would run just fine.
