Along with the IGB, the Alliance should give out loans too, but the amount should be unlimited, or close. The fee should be 20%, and a significant amount more interest, like .5% compounded per move or so. And finally, you can't over look the best part of the business. They should come and get you if you don't pay. I'm sure you get my drift

i see one big problem with that i take out a loan and then i max out my ship and sector and just kill the heck out of the Alliance when it comes after me and just start taking advantage of the little kids and just pay off the loans.

Unlimited loans would allow too much cheating. People would end up taking out massive loans and find ways to transfer to other teammates. Then instead of repaying the loan just suicide and wait 3 days to come back or use a different email account and repeat over and over again.

You won;t see unlimited loans in the game.

Maybe it could be more like the mafia loans you see on tv and in movies. They give you a lot more money then you'd get from an igb loan but instead the interest is a lot higher as well; and just to make things fun; they can give you some interesting options to pay them back; say attack a planet of a person you'll get a bounty from; then you get someone taking out a several trillion credit loan from the alliance being unable to pay it off in the very short time they give you; and just to add even more evil they have to hunt a player they will get a bounty from or be forced to watch their empire fall to the alliance. Additionally a random chance that if you put the loan from them on one of your planets and log off without using it they could go attack the planet; take back the money and your still forced to pay the interest or be stuck in the cycle as previously mentioned anyway.

Well you obviously didn't understand what I meant by a huge loan. I only meant like 10 times what the IGB would do or something. Not unlimited. And such a loan should 1: ban them from the IGB until it is paid, 2: ban them from using shipyards (to prevent cheating), 3: prevent them from transfering credits to a planet with team cash, and every planet visited by them shouldn't be able to turn to team cash until the loan is paid. I don't see how they could get around that. And I definitely meant something more like what Darkersoul said. I think the main misinterpretation was that I didn't mean THAT close to unlimited. Just 2.5 times their net worth or so.
