Well, there has been one thing some admins have been wanting for a long time.

The ability to have different configurations they can load for different game styles.

We kinda added something for that but it was very, very limited. In the admin section you could save your current configuration and that was about it.

We have expanded upon that for the 0.20 release. The config.ini file has been renamed for setup_default.ini. You can now have as many setup files as you want in the config directory ie: setup_tourney.ini, setup_fastgame.ini, setup_50turns.ini, ect... When you run the create_universe.php you will be presented with a list of setup files that were found. Just select the one you want to use and continue with the installation.

In the admin area you can save your configuration at any time. You can overwrite an existing setup file by selecting it from a dropdown menu or you can enter a new name to create a new setup file.

You can also copy setup files from other games and drop them into your games config directory. We will even have a special download area in the forums for Setup Files. Admins can post their favorite game configurations for others to download and try out.
