We have moved all of the game code from the beta game to the main game. You will notice a number of changes in the planet displays, scans and planet tech levels.

Okay, trying to be patient here, sometime since Friday my account DISAPPEARED!!!! (takes calming breathe) There was NO statement in the FNN about my death or anything, my team icon is gone as well. I didn`t delete my account... What happened????

If you ship was destroyed without an escape pod the entire account is purged after 3 days. So if your ship was destroyed without an escape pod friday or saturday then your account would have been purged by now.

If your ship was destroyed by a nova bomb while on a planet there will not be an entry in the news.

This is the last news about me, nothing about my 'death'. My ship DID have an escape pod (1st thing I buy with new ship, learned that lesson a few versions ago).
I should have encountered a note saying my ship was destroyed if that was the planet defeated above, and be in a pioneer in Sol sector. Not a deleted account.
I strongly protest this. I play this game according to the rules.

When was the last time you logged in?

We will look into who attacked and when to see what the logs indicate.

If you did die without an escape pod and didn't check back in within 3 days all of your information and stats are deleted from the game.So if you died without an escape pod on the 7th and didn't check in until sometime after the 10th everything about you is gone and there isn't much we can do about it.

Though it should have entered something in the death list on the ranks and I can't find that player name.

The last time I was in the game was the 6th, and off-line until the same hour time stamp as this response on the 10th (6 PM Atlantic).

It sounds like someone actually killed you and you were purged from the game. If you are killed without an escape pod everything about you is erased after 3 days. If you were in a captured ship or a new ship you may not have had an escape pod even though you thought you had one.

Pod`s the first thing I get when I buy a new ship, even before energy scoop and emergency warp devices.
Wasn`t there a problem like this earlier, people dying even though they had a pod?
Oh, well... back to the beginning again. More challenging, this late in the game with so many established opponents - could be fun!

Yes but it was fixed. So if this is a new one it would be nice to know who killed you, so if you find out let us know.

They are probably scared of retribution

I have at least 3 students who got 'killed' off over the school break. They did not log on for at least a week or so, but when they tried to, message was that they do not exist.
I did notice that it was strange that I lost a couple of team mates over the break, but had been too busy to follow up on it. No message in logs or anything and their planets just went Indy.

So does look like there is a purging issue in there somewhere.

No there isn't an issue. If a players account is inactive for over 7 days they are automatically purged from the game. You have to log in once every 7 days to prevent your account from being deleted.
