We have created a new Player Profile site where you can create your own player profile.

You can upload your own picture, describe yourself to everyone, advertise your website and show an email address if you wish.

Other people can even post comments to your player profile. They have to be a member of the profile site to do this. So if you want to comment about someone go for it.

The BIG thing is that in version 0.14 of AATraders there will be an option that will allow the admin of the game to transmit player data back to the Master Profile Server. This will contain information about where you ended up when the game ended.

For each game you complete it will display the server name/url, the date the game ended, the name you used on the server, your score, credits, deaths, kills, planets captures, planets lost, planets built, max planet defense level and the total number of each ship you lost in the game. There is even an Average List and Total List of all this data. Everyone will be able to see how well you have played your games.

This data updates automatically.

So go and sign up. You don't need to use the same player name or password you use on game servers. Have fun and enjoy.

Well, we are still working out what to do with existing games. So that is still up in the air.

We should have something worked out before we release 0.14.

I have added support for Allowing PMs between people on the site.

I have also added support for ICQ, Yahoo and AOL instant messaging.

There have been a few changes to the profiles.

The minor ones are that you can click on a players name in the comments or news and be taken directly to their profile page. Plus a random player profile is shown when you first go to the site instead of always showing mine.

The major change is the addition of a SECOND password called the "Server Password". This password is what you use when you are wanting to register your player in a game with the Master Profile Server. We added this for security reasons. Your profile password will always be safe so no one can come in and edit your profile and it is not used anywhere but on this site. The "Server Password" is only used when you create a new player in a game and want to register that player with your profile on the Master Profile Server.

All existing profiles are using the same password on both password and server password so I suggest everyone go and change your server password.

Just wanted everyone to know that the PM system on the Profile Site is now working. It functions almost identical to the instant messages in the game. You will get a popup notice when you have new messages as well as a display showing how many messages you have waiting.

Well, we are going with what fits inside the center box without breaking the layout.

When will we be able to register games to send information to the profile, and will there be an option to register the game although we started playing the game before the profiles were open?

Soon and yes (as long as the server has upgraded to 0.14 when it is released).

We have just added something extra to the Ranking Display in games. If a player has registered their player with the Master Profile Server then thier player name will become a linkto their profile page.

You can now have instant access to a players profile and history just by clicking on their name in the ranking list.

When I try to register from the .14 beta game back to my profile it tells me that I do not exist.
I have tried many times with no joy.
I can log onto my profile fine and make adjustments.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Currently the only game the profiles will hook to is the New tourney game. We have a few more bugs to work out of the other ones.
