We removed the colonist and planet FNN news from the scheduler when we reset the main game and some people were a little disappointed in it going away.
Well, I completely rewrote it so it only uses one query.
There is now a planet_update flag for every player. When you capture a planet, base a planet, lose a planet or create a planet the flag is set. When the news schedule runs it only processes the players with the flag set. And it is a single query to get the number of planets and total colonists for every player.
It is very streamlined and fast unlike the old sched_news.inc.
I have set the flag for everyone in the game so the news will process for everyone right now. Any new news items about planets or colonists will be new changes.
