 Post subject: spy bug

I am currently playing in Alf's turney. I notice that spy's don't do what you tell them to. In general, I set all my spies to only capture or steal money. Yet I still get log entries about destroying fighters and stuff. Did something change about spies, that is, it has been a long time since I have played, so maybe spies don't listen all the time.

Spies will always do that when they are waiting to take the job you gave them. They have to do something until they find an opportunity to do the job you told them to do. :)

yeah, but those jobs, capture and steal money are not locked in. The other ones leave a trail that gets them killed.
Not a big deal I guess. Just liked it the old way.

Nope, they can get detected and killed just doing nothing. The fact they can destroy things while waiting doesn't improve their chances of being detected.

Sorry, wasn't clear. I mean those things show up in logs.
If you were cloaked enough to drop a spy and just want him to wait, but he decides, eh while I am here, let me blow up that mil in fighters, the owner of the planet now knows he has a spy. Whereas if he just sat quietly for the guy to transfer money, he could get away scott free.

Well if you have enough planets, how are ya gnna notice a monor drop in fighters... I know I wouldn't. Once you have so many planets a few missing fighters wont be noticed ;)

They only show up in the spy owners log and never show up in the planet owners log. The only way the planet owner would notice anything is if they kept track of the number of fighters and torps on every planet all of the time.
