Welll hi there guys, realy like yer work over here...
So i have a big problem , on install, there was said to use this :
*/5 * * * * /usr/bin/wget --tries=1 --timeout=10 --post-data 'admin_password=mypassword&game_number=0' -q -o /dev/null -O /dev/null http://mylink.com/scheduler.php

Or incase if above cron isnt working to use :
*/5 * * * * /usr/bin/lynx http://mylink.com/scheduler.php?encoded=a6a2a5b5c6a28ac6c5cedde0c0d4c6d4d4ebe1d3c8a2969aa9a8939b9787c8d5dfc6c3d3d6ced6d7d3a195 > /dev/null

But im using Redhat linux, and i dont know whats the problem withh it, cuz the sys gives me an error :
[root@localhost ~]# crontab -u root /tmp/root.xxxx.swp
"/tmp/root.xxxx.swp":1: premature EOF
errors in crontab file, can't install.

You try using something like webmin? It makes my life easier on the command line side. PJ might have an idea though.

I think whatever editor you used corrupted the file you are using to store the cron tabs. That error means it expects there to be more data when the file is being read but it ends before it should.

Like Tarnus said if you can use Webmin you should it makes managing cron tabs so much easier. If you can't then delete that cron tab file and create another one using a different text editor.
