When my crontab executes (and it does so correctly as my turns increase, etc...) it logs out my users. Has anyone run into this before?

Thanks!

It sounds like the cron isn't finishing.

Go to the admin area and run the cron manually and watch what is displayed. If the cron aborts before it finishes then there is your problem. You may have to run it a few time to see it execute the different scheduled items.

I ran it a dozen times and it always comes back completed. There is always a message like this at the end:

The scheduler took 2 seconds to execute.
111 queries in 1.3359 seconds

Here is my crontab entry:

*/5 * * * * /usr/bin/wget --tries=1 --timeout=10 -q -o /dev/null -O /dev/null )

Anything else I can check?

Thanks!

I actually have the same problem when I manually run the scheduler. It does seem that the casino.ini file is being corrupted by the scheduler. When I rerun the installer.php it complains about that file. Check on the system and it is smaller that the original. Replace it, and scans correctly. After the update runs, bad .ini file.

Any thoughts?

It sounds like you have something else seriously wrong with your server.

The scheduler files never access the casino.ini file. It may be something else getting corrupted and when you run the installer it fixes the problem. Maybe you have something else on that server that is modifying the files that shouldn't be touching them like a virus.

The casino.ini is never modified by ANYTHING after it is written to the directory using the aatrade_package_installer program. It is only read by the ports/casino.inc and create_game/30.inc programs. Nothing ever writes to the file. If it is being changed then something outside the game is modifying it and probably modifying other files causing your problems. It's definitely nothing the game is causing in this case.
