i think that haveing multi levels like you have on the planets should do some help cause i found out that when i found debris and it had alot of reds i wonted a decent same level ship and i took to long to do lol call me lazy but its true.

I have never, ever, ever, since I started playing AAT, wanted a ship with all the same tech levels. You have to upgrade different things for different modes of play. And even if you're just going to be an attacker, ECM, for example, is not as important as beams. There is never a situation in which having all identical techs would benefit you at all.

And really, it doesn't even take long.

maxed excel. you have all the same tech levels and it benefits you because, if you're the kind of guy that wants an excel you are the kind of guy that will, with enough cash, eventually want to upgrade everything.

Maxing an excel is impossible.

And really, Tonto, you're only going to max an excel once, I guarantee. Just look at what you're suggesting before you jump in and just try to contradict me. It makes you look really stupid. You're saying a player needs an option to set all the techs to 600 just to save time that one time they go to upgrade to max their excel?

Just hit 6, tab, 6, tab, etc. That would take maybe 2 seconds if you've got fast fingers.

If he is say, advocating a change to allow you to REPAIR all techs to a certain level, I could go for that. Or a REPAIR ALL button, which I have suggested plenty of times.

Yeah, repair all would be nice. Repairing 'em all the the same level wouldn't be as applicable though.

mmm... how? I just repair engines and sensors to 230, and let the rest fall to 0. That works fine.

First off, 230 engines and 230 sensors would bring total up to 460, which is almost 1200 tech levels short of the required to not lose your ship if it misfires. Secondly, I am cheaper than that, I like my techs at 160 except the hulls, which gives me the cheapest costs.

Actually, I have NEVER had a nova ship with those techs blow up on me, and I have nova'd hundreds of times. Your information is obviously flawed.

1) Not impossible I've had a few of them myself.

2) I'm not saying they need an option to make them all the same level, i'm just suggesting there is a time when it's reasonable to have them at the same level, as you suggested the opposite.

3) Honestly I still consider the max 400. Actually, I kinda consider it 40 still, because I don't even use those increment levels.

4) When talking with adults, try and act like one. Save the petty name-calling for your high school friends.

I didn't call you any names. I said you did something to make yourself look stupid. That does not mean that I think you are stupid, only that you're making yourself appear so. I'll say what I think despite your opinion.

And no, I can guarantee you, you've never had a maxed excel unless you've had it on a really messed up server. They don't happen on the main, that's for sure.

would someone else like to attest to having had a max excel? I know i've had them before in the 5 years i've been around the game. Apparently they've never existed though.
