If I were to guess, your web host has some type of database connection limit. And our game is real DB heavy. Check to see what kind of limits they may have for database actions.

Also it would help if you gave us what version of php and mysql the server is running. And double check your database settings. Its an odd error.

It looks like you have told the game you have multiple games running on the server and only one database setup.

You need to either delete the extra config_local files or create databases for them. Look in the config directory. If you see more than one config_local file delete all of them except for config_local0.php.

If you setup more than one game on the same connection you need to create a database for each one.

Database Version: 4.1.20
PHP Version: 4.3.9
Web Server: Apache/2.0.52 (CentOS) PHP/4.3.9
WebServer to PHP interface: apache2handler

there are 2 config_local datas, but i can´t rename and also i can´t delete them. i can´t change thier permissions!

i will talk to my serveradmin about adding new databases and connection limits.

I would say PJ is closer to correct than I am, I would either delete the extra config file or add a second database.

i used new db and it works now, but i set the game reset to 15th dec. i am trying to change this, but it doesn´t work (edit - configuaration - reset date - changed scheduled reset), but the changed date will not be updated :(

after the change it looks like :
Updating config variable: 3 = 2008-12-12
Updating config variable: : = 2008-12-11

but, nothing happens and after reopen the reset date there is the old date (15-12) :(

what do i wrong?

Did you use the admin to change it or did you try to edit the config file?

Since you have two games open, did you select the right one? There should be two games in the drop down.

Maybe PJ will have some incite on the Date thing. I have no idea why it won't let you change it.

also i tried to change the date in variables0.inc, but i can´t overwrite the "old" one, because i can´t change any file from aat. i can´t change their permissions (it is 664, but i need 744 :( - btw of course i can change the permissions of other files on my server, except the aat-files :( )

i think the main problem is file-permission. so it is clear, that i can´t change the date via admin or changing the file and trying to upload/overwrite it.

You do realize that 664 is better permission that 744 664 is RWRWR and 744 is RWXRR I would be more inclined to think its a file ownership issue. AAT are owned by the webserver. As a quick temp fix you could chmod to 666 or 777 then make your change and then return the permissions back to 664.

Hope this helps a little, I will prod PJ and see if he has any ideas.
