Sector Defense in past versions would use your ships sensors and cloak for their base value for detecting incoming enemy ships. It would then check for any planets in the sector and if one of those planets had a higher sensor or cloak than your ship it would use those values.

Well, this has changed.

If you drop sector defenses into a sector they will only use the highest settings of the planets in the sector and nolonger use your ships sensors/cloak.

So if you have a ship with level 20 sensors and drop fighters in a sector that has one planet and the planets sensors are 5 then the sector defense will use the level 5 sensors of the planet. They will nolonger use the level 20 sensors from your ship.

So if you want your sector defense to detect incoming enemy ships you better get your planets sensors up high enough to detect them. Otherwise people just night sneak in without triggering the sector defense.
