We have just added RSS Newsfeeds for the forums. If you have an RSS Newsfeed Reader or a fantastic browser like Opera (free) / Opera (purchase) you can receive all new forum posts automatically. With Opera you can click on the RSS button that appears on the address bar to subscribe.

If you are using another RSS Newsreader then you can use this link rss.php for retrieving the newsfeed.

We have also added this to the main page of the web site for people who only want to get the main news items with this link rss.php?f=7&t=1&tt=2 .

And we will be adding this to all blogs in the future so people can subscribe to any individual blog and get the latest blog posting by their favorite author.

PJ, I have tried avant and firefox.
This is the error:
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

I also use rss feeds but I leave the file extension as .xml

Cheers

I have checked it with two programs and an RSS Feed Validator site...

http://www.feedvalidator.org/check.cgi? ... 1%26tt%3D2

and

http://www.feedvalidator.org/check.cgi? ... %2Frss.php

And it checks out just fine.

Well, I installed a different RSS package even though the other one passed validation. The problem may be your programs were not detecting the version properly and were assuming it was RSS 2.0 format when it was RSS 1.0 format. This new package sends in RSS 2.0 format.

PJ, still no go. Thanks for trying.
If you go to: http://hosting.cole.gen.nz/feed.xml

Then you can see mine and how that works. It also passes validation.

Very strange that I can't see yours, just the script. RSS feeds are new to me, so I am still learning.

NOTE:
I just downloaded a dedicated feed reader and it works a treat, well done PJ. :D

Cheers

I bet it was a configuration issue somewhere on the programs you were using. Glad to see that it works with another reader. :)

BTW, if you are using a version of Firefox earlier than 1.0.4 then RSS is broken. Apparently it has been fixed, kinda, in 1.04 but it still has a few issues.
