Many thanks!!! I know PJ's been focused on the new release so we had not had a chance to write a guide. We can always use help in the ducumentation arena...we are real bad at that. I know Neogreen had started wa wiki but its got a llong way to go before its anywhere near complete.

Thanks again!

With any LInux servers that I create/build, I install Webmin. This gives a nice interface for those that don't like using the command prompt and access from another computer to the linux box. My server at work is away on the other side of school in a little room that I never have to visit. Any thing I need to do to the server I do from my work room via webmin, including reboots. :D

Thanks for writing the guide. :D

One of the things we are striving for in the next version (yes I know it is seriously late) is for it to be easier to install. The new installer currently checks to see if the proper libraries are installed and what PHP has been compiled to use. It turns on or off features based upon what it finds.

There will still be a couple of things like directory permissions that you will have to set manually because most servers do not allow PHP to change permission settings. But for the most part the installer takes care of just about everything for you. Makes it alot easier for the person trying to setup a game.
